All of a Kind Family was also my favorite as a child. I still have my original copy from the 1960′s. It taught be about a way of life that was so different than my own, but filled with love and family and tradition. When I was older, I loved Little Women for the same reasons.

To me, “as beautiful as if they had never known fear” is the type of beauty held by a newborn child, or a fuzzy kitten. There is something so precious and innocent about them. Later, when they learn that life is fleeting and danger exists, they gain a different type of beauty, born of their growing knowlege, strength, and bravery.

I’m glad you mention books in your blog with such love. They’re the most magical things in my life most of the time. I can’t say I have a favorite unicorn book–I used to really like a book about a world called Luster–but now my favorites are mostly classics, a world of books The Little Princess introduced me to <3

What are your favorite kids’ books, other than the ones you’ve mentioned? Have you ever read All of a Kind Family? It’s not your typical good book but I loved it more than anything as a kid

Did you ever read, “Into the Land of the Unicorns”? It’s a beautiful children’s book I read as a girl and I remember it absolutely capturing my heart.

It’s very short, since it’s a children’s book. You should pick it up if you have the chance.

I love this book though I don’t consider it my bible (mine is the Bible and Jane Austen), but I agree. I do enjoy turning towards literature for creative inspiration and motivation in life.
