Hello Skye! I am a longtime reader of your blog, yet this is my first comment to it. I find it simply exquisite, perfect to read in one sitting even. I don’t always understand the meaning of your words, yet I always come back for the thoughts and symbols they create on my mind. The photographs and other images are lovely, too.
I hope you are doing well and that you share more of your stories :) Congratulations to you and your friend Sabrina for obtaining this haunting photo!
This is so subtle, which makes it all-the-more beautiful. I love that nothing has been overworked or overstated, yet there is a sense of inevitability to the ‘fading’ that is heartbreakingly lovely. I am in love with this photograph.
I looked at your friends blog, it is incredibly inspiring. Oh, and I didn’t know you live here in WA, I’ve always considered you a very English girl :)
There is no words to describe how stunning this photo is, dear skye.
You are truly an amazing photographer. I wish i could have just a bit of your talent. My father is a photographer, and he had given me a camera, but i could never take decent photos. they always came out too dark or too light, but i always hope i can learn from my past mistakes and do better in the future.
xx Abigail.
Beautiful photograph. I think what strikes me in it is the feeling of density which it gives, despite (because of?) the fact that the subject is fading… It reminds of a list of transparent things you made, in which you put “little girls”. It has given me a lot to wonder about.
I missed your pieces of dream and poetry – quietly, but I did.
