I looked this all up on Google, that’s how enamoured I am of these pictures.
I must see those two movies that have apparently been made.
I adore the curtains in the last picture, and of course Eloise’s expression in the fifth.
All of the images you have posted from various films and television shows over the course of your blog seem so magical.
i love any post that is about eloise. she is my absolute favorite. i recently posted about my eloise doll that i love, love. & i have a large framed poster of an eloise book cover hanging on my wall.
xx
Eloise! Last month, I was looking around for Christmas specials and watched ‘Eloise at Christmastime,’ and I was absolutely enchanted with the story. I’ll definitely have to get around to seeing this one as well sometime soon.
i ADORED those books as a child. They were what started my utter obsession with NYC. i’ve never been, but there’s just something about it that really captures my imagination. i feel like NYC is my dream world or Neverland. And it all started when i was just old enough to read about Eloise.
i wasn’t aware there was a movie. Those shots look perfect though. And now i must see it.
There’s something about being a ‘grown up’ (i really only ever grew tall, not up, i think) and watching beautiful movies adapted from stories i loved when i was younger. i can’t wait to see this one day.
There’s definately a charm here in NYC.
Unfortunately, I often overlook it in the mire of crowds, traffic, noise, and litter. I try to stop and look around to see the magic. Luckily, I work in a very beautiful part of the city with old brownstone apartment buildings, hidden gardens, tea and trinkets stores and European inspired cafes. Walking around in this neighborhood helps me remember the magic.
That sounds like my sort of neighbourhood. It’s like when i moved to Brisbane i wasn’t very fond of it – there’s no beach! – but my neighbourhood is full of flowering trees, white picket fences, and pretty little gardens. And that’s probably what initially won me over as far as Brisbane is concerned.
Sometimes i think we really need to look for the magic surrounding us to be able to see it, rather than waiting for it to jump out at us.
oh i love, love, LOVE Eloise! ♥ i’m actually in the process of making a black pleated skirt with suspenders just like hers, because i’d love to be able to run around and have adventures in it, just like she does.
It is such a heart-warming story! I loved the messages of just coming out with what’s on your mind because it makes things so much easier, and never giving up. Eloise is such a happy and resilient girl, and it is enjoyable how she dips into her imagination to find solutions and make things happen. Lots of people forget how to do this with the passing years, particularly with spirit-diluting sermons from jaded grown-ups. Julie Andrews looked so pretty with longer hair, and it was a delightful surprise to see the talented Christine Baranski pop up. The slender chef’s expressions were really amusing.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and pictures of this inspiring film. May you remain six forever. ^_^
I think I might be seven. Perhaps seven-and-a-half.
‘How old did you say you were?’
Alice made a short calculation, and said `Seven years and six months.’
…
`Seven years and six months!’ Humpty Dumpty repeated thoughtfully. `An uncomfortable sort of age. Now if you’d asked my advice, I’d have said “Leave off at seven” — but it’s too late now.’
`I never ask advice about growing,’ Alice said indignantly.
`Too proud?’ the other enquired.
Alice felt even more indignant at this suggestion. `I mean,’ she said, `that one ca’n't help growing older.’
`One can’t, perhaps,’ said Humpty Dumpty; `but two can. With proper assistance, you might have left off at seven.’
My best friend and I have been obsessed with Eloise since we first discovered the books. I’ve always wanted to be Eloise, racing down the halls in her skate and pouring water down the mail chute. I’m glad someone else gets just how amazingly herself she is.

Oh I love Eloise, although I have never seen the film
I always think I will be four in my mind, that was a very good age for me
Your blog is so inspiring, I’m glad to see more of your posts
The “Eloise” films are the cutest! And afterwards, it does rather inspire me to run around like a six year old again! And whenever I go by the Plaza Hotel, I think of Eloise!
Incidentally, have you seen Disney's new film, The Princess and the Frog? I'm sure you've at least heard of it, and it sounds like the sort of film you'd enjoy. :)

They are from ‘Eloise at the Plaza’ based on a wonderful series of children’s books.
‘The End’ … by A. A. Milne
When I was One,
I had just begun.
When I was Two,
I was nearly new.
When I was Three,
I was hardly Me.
When I was Four,
I was not much more.
When I was Five,
I was just alive.
But now I am Six, I’m as clever as clever.
And I think I’ll be six now for ever and ever.
:)
Lovely! Thank you.

She is wonderful! I want to read her books again.
I’ve never seen this movie but I do love her curtains and what I can see of her room!
I posted more pictures of her room on my tumblr: ragsandtatters.tumblr.com
I love her room! Except for the mess! *lol*

I have yet to see the Christmastime movie, I’m looking forward to it!
p.s. My favourite Christmas film is Prancer, I recommend it if you haven’t seen it before.

NYC has always sounded like a magical place to me as well, with all the stories that take place there it almost is a fictional world.
The movie is quite sweet.

I always think that somewhere we are all still 6 years old… and you’re right, always will be. x
