one of my favourite stories has a fairy horse in it and the legend is that it comes from the sea to drink from an enchanted spring that has bells hanging from the branches over the tree that overhangs it, the picture reminded me of that :)

when i was a young wife, i took my collection of tiny old india bells and tied them with blue ribbons onto the branches of a hawthorne tree. for sake of the birds.

they've all disappeared over the past two decades. but i still hold the memory of wind and bells in all seasons.

People would hang bells in the trees and carry them on their person for protection against those of the unseelie court.

However, I feel that the silver-loving faeries would adore this little bell :)

How mysterious and amazing... Just to imagine who could have left it there: a satyr, a little fairy, Titania herself - who knows? What a great new chapter of the everyday fairytale this must be!

I just discovered your little kingdom here and it brought me nearly to tears. I thought I was the only one who still looks for fairy rings every time I go into the woods and idolizes Sara Crewe and lives in her own secret kingdom. It's so lovely to find a kindred spirit!
