Oooh, whales are so pretty! You’re right though, it must be lonely, especially if all of the other sea creatures are most likely going to be afraid of you!
Ooh, I love these… they remind me of a picture book I had as a child, the art was very different and I don’t even think there were any whales in it but now I really wish I could read that book. I even wish I could find it online but I guess it was pretty obscure, a little French picture book about a fisherman who never catches any fish because he spends all day catching clouds instead.

Beautiful pictures… where did you find them??
I scanned them from a picture book, not very well, I’m sorry.
Lovely illustrations!
I do think it must be lonely sometimes to be a whale. it’s like, no matter how big you are, the world is still too big for you.
I think we all feel a bit like that sometimes. Peter Sis is very talented, take a look at his other work if you have time.
Aww, whales making friends. <3
I want to go on a whale watching tour sometime, they have them on the coast here, and take photos of real whales!
I’ve always wanted to go whale-watching (when I was little, whales and dolphins were my favourite animals). I may get my chance soon, fingers crossed!
That is just too cute for words. Littule whale <3
It makes me smile <3

They have such a sad grace to them, they seem so gentle. I can’t imagine being afraid of a whale.
but…whales travel in pods…always with their family.
Maybe this one got lost?

I would love to read that book too if you find it.
this made me a little sad…
but, the art is beautiful… :]
You can’t see very well in this size, but the whale is smiling : )
I think it must be a little lonely being anything at some point.
I agree. Its good to be able to make friends though.
What lovely illustrations!
It might be lonely to be a whale, but they can hear each other singing from miles and miles away, so they know they’re never alone. :)
Oh, whale song is so beautiful and eerie… you’re right though.
But I think beeing the only Great Kraken in the world, ever would be lonelier…
((please, i meant the Kraken from Island of the Aunts, not the monster ))\
